Programme Manager (Europe)
The Programme Manager will lead the growth strategy across agreed locations in Europe implementing the operating models that ensure approved business plan (and future business plans) are met.
This role will be required to; successfully plan, execute, communicate and deliver projects and or programmes while ensuring they meet their specific goals, objectives, and constraints.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the overarching Programme Plan to incl. an integrated plan with the target operating model, business case and implementation activities and timeframes.
- Being the key point of contact for the workstream leads to feed into the plan covering; The target operating model incl. legal/regulatory set-up, people and technology strategy and ensuring all capability models and to-be processes are clearly documented and approved
- Keeping the Business Requirements and function requirements design(s) aligned. Ensure that Dependencies and intersections of this body of work and the wider portfolio are understood and aligned
- Collaborative working with colleagues across the Global business, including IT, to implement the chosen operating model aligned with timeframes agreed with the business
- Create and embed a communications plan to ensure all parties are kept informed, updated and aware of progress of the European expansion implementation
- Liaise with Group COO, Head of Change and Head of IT in relation to budgetary and resource requirements to enable successful delivery
- Lead high priority change initiatives identified by Leadership, relating to expansion initiatives, included but not limited to; location, regulatory, statutory and legal environment, operations, human resources and technology design and implementation
- Taking the defined strategy and moving this into tangible deliverables, resulting in having the required operating model and associated people, technology, data and processes in place
- Define project scope and objectives: Work with stakeholders to clearly define the scope and objectives of the project, outlining what needs to be accomplished and the desired outcomes.
- Project Planning: Ensuring a clear project/programme plan is available at all times. Ensuring that tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones are shown as required by the business and or stakeholder group.
- Manage resources: Resource evaluation and allocation across the Portfolio. Working pro-actively with stakeholders to ensure this is estimated, allocated and utilised effectively to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Budget management: Lead the creation and management of project budgets which require monitoring and review throughout the life of the programme, aligned with support of the business Sponsor
- Risk management: Identifying, documenting and managing potential risks, issues and dependencies across programmes. Ensuring a mitigation plan is in place to remediate.
- Monitor and control progress: Monitor the progress, track performance plan, and takes corrective actions when necessary to keep the project on track.
- Quality assurance: Project documentation and outputs should meet required quality standards and specifications and should be managed in accordance with the agreed portfolio governance.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Significant and demonstrable Programme Management experience
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the London Market, including working with regulatory bodies
- Understanding of business strategy and expansion planning at a Global level
- Proven team leadership skills and ability to drive decision making at an Executive level
- Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders at an Executive level
- Proven and demonstrated Insurance Industry knowledge
- Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance across Insurance
- Proven understanding of Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid approaches)
- Excellent organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Resilience and adaptability to business change
- Knowledge of business analysis techniques and processes
- Understanding of Data Security and Privacy across Insurance products
- Good understanding of Data Security and Privacy across Insurance products
- Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience working across Global Change and Transformation
- Experience working with Insurance Markets across Europe
