PMO Manager
Salary up to £60,000 - £70,000 per annum dependent on experience
FTC Until 31st December 2025

Following Saga’s recent announcement to partner with Ageas in early 2026, as PMO Manager, you will support the Programme Management team with the execution of all programme management office functions in the delivery of the overall Programme throughout 2025.
Reporting into the overall Programme Manager you’ll be responsible for key areas of the programme office including planning and dependency management across a large, multi-workstream programme team, weekly/monthly production of governance materials to support Steering and Operating committees, execution of existing process including resource manage, interlock with finance and budgeting teams, and RAID management.
We offer flexibility over where you work you choose a place that you feel most comfortable and productive, either from home or in one of our hubs. Our Programme Management team typically come into our Kings Cross, London office twice a week.
Role Responsibility
As PMO Manager, you will be responsible for the Programme Management Office, supporting the Programme team and the workstream leads in executing their key activities throughout delivery.
Other accountabilities will include:
- Individual and consolidate workstream and programme planning artefacts
- Associated risk, issue, dependencies and assumptions tracking (with a particular focus on dependency management)
- Weekly status reporting at a workstream level and the consolidation of this into Steering and Operating committee materials
- Action capture from key governance forums and associated management and closure
- Interfacing into other key roles within the PMO including finance budget management, resourcing and risk management
- Meeting scheduling and room booking (via Executive Assistants)
- Review and update of Programme artefacts to ensure best-practice is maintained with regards to storage, sign-off etc.
- Aligning with and supporting other members of the Programme Office who are driving delivery in areas including technology alignment
- Joint plan management with third parties
The Ideal Candidate
The successful PMO manager would have experience supporting complex and large programme delivery projects across technology and business teams.
While experience in the insurance sector isn't essential, a background working within financial services and an understanding of the regulator would be advantageous.
Other skills required would include:
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines & targets
- Comfortable with complex information and ability to simplify into digestible insight
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Flexible & able to change direction at short notice
- Excellent organisational and presentational skills
- Able to identify challenges before they materialise
- Comfortable operating across multiple levels & business units
