Key Responsibilities
- Be a technical expert across multiple lines of business, across countries, for new, renewal, endorsements and reinsurance processing.
- Actively participate and support both Outbound and Inbound Underwriters in new business, renewal and mid-term alteration underwriting activities that support underwriting decisions, consistent with business growth and profit.
- Actively engage and seek out training opportunities to further develop underwriting and multinational expertise.
- Manage the processing of new and renewal business including data entry into system, producing accurate policy documents in multiple languages and lines of business within the different regulatory and compliance requirements for that country within agreed SLAs and quality standards
- Proactively manages enquiries from Underwriting, Billing & Collections, Re-Insurance, Claims so they are addressed by the Multinational team including Identifying and reporting problems with the system integration reporting
- Proactively manage month end bookings and reinsurance processes.
- Accurately manage requests to Network Partners across the world to keep quotes and renewal policy documentation within SLA.
- Monitor and ensure that all policies are correctly issued and processed as per instructed in Compass and within their Underwriting Authority and that granted within the team and escalating where not.
- Ensure that all tax allocations are accurately processed including the accurate use of tax rates and calculation of tax splits where this is not provided.
- Work within the Peer Review procedures as determined by their manager.
- Build a good relationship with Brokers as a representative for CNA Hardy International Solutions. Manage the responses to external queries from Brokers and works within escalation procedures where they do not have the knowledge to provide immediate answers.
- Build and maintain good relationship with Underwriters, Brokers, Fronting Partners and Operations and Network Team in USA and Canada as a representative for CNA Hardy International Solutions.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in other parts of the organisation, including Head Office, Risk Control, Distribution, Claims, Actuarial, etc. as needed.
- Be a technical for expert for Underwriters for multinational placements across multiple lines of business and countries for adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements across the world.
- Hold and work within appropriate Underwriting Authority and follow escalation procedures, as determined by the International Solutions management team.
- Collect and accurately record required compliance and regulatory information as determined for each line of business and country as instructed in the ComPass Fronting Facility Guide and also by International Solutions operational standards.
- Proactively analyses and raise queries for Underlyer Requests where information provided is not in line with the country requirements for local policy / certificate issuance.
- Specialise in the renewal of middle tier multinational accounts proactively preparing for renewal and engaging with Underwriters.
- Accurately manage requests to Network Partners across the world to keep quotes and renewal policy documentation within SLA providing regular updates to all parties involved.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Awareness of Controlled Master Program placements
- Some knowledge of European compliance and regulatory requirements for local policies
