The role
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Relationships, this role offers a unique opportunity to support the team in helping the Group interpret regulatory risk and trends, provide meaningful insight on interactions with supervision teams at the UK regulators and ensure communications are consistent and credible.
This role will work alongside the Governance and Reporting Consultant to translate complex information into actionable intelligence that supports strategic decision-making and reinforces trust with external stakeholders.
You will support the Consultant in developing management information (MI) and data-driven insights that inform regulatory engagement and anticipate regulatory developments. The role will provide a chance to apply and develop your skills in data analytics and visualisation; and to contribute to the ongoing development of workflow and governance tools that underpin relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and producing high-quality management information to support relationship management and internal governance.
- Support ongoing maintenance and continual improvements to the technology platforms that support regulatory action tracking and workflow management.
- Use and develop capability in data visualisation tools to translate complex regulatory and operational data into clear, accessible insights for senior stakeholders
- Support the regulatory actions management process, ensuring clear accountability, effective coordination with the Operating Office, and robust governance.
- Maintain awareness of internal and external developments, including regulatory changes
- Assist in pulling together different data sources reflecting current and emerging themes that will be used briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who’s excited by the power of data and technology to turn information into insight and transform ways of working in a team that looks after the Phoenix Group’s relationship with its UK regulators.
If you have a foundation in data analytics and an aptitude for making information accessible through visual storytelling, this could be the perfect next step. You’ll thrive here if you’re naturally curious, eager to explore emerging tech, and motivated by the chance to make a real impact in a team that values innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong foundational knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and visualisation; with experience of using visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and workflow management platforms.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate into accessible information that can inform insight on the regulatory relationships and wider regulatory landscape.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with some experience of tailoring messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferably worked in a financial services firm and familiar with life and pensions products
