Job overview:
Join AXA UK as a Senior OD Consultant on a 12 month FTC and play a key leadership role in shaping our transformation agenda. You’ll lead large-scale organisational design and change programmes, leveraging your deep expertise in OD methodologies to identify and articulate the target benefits of each initiative. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the business, providing coaching, facilitation, and guidance to ensure the successful design and delivery of transformative change that delivers measurable value.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership and HR teams to define goals and manage end-to-end organisational change.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop strategic transformation roadmaps and project plans aligned with business vision.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver key initiatives and build capability.
- Ensure people processes, systems, and compliance are integrated into change efforts.
- Establish governance, track progress, and keep stakeholders engaged and informed.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis to secure buy-in and build support for change initiatives.
- Collaborate on communication, engagement, training, and resource planning for successful outcomes.
- Define success metrics and monitor the impact of change initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and bring innovative ideas to the organisation.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
This role will involve frequent travel to our London office, to support key stakeholders.
Your skills & experience:
- Extensive experience in managing and implementing end-to-end organisation design and change in large organisations with multiple stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of organisational design and change methodologies with the ability to effectively apply them in a practical setting.
- Demonstrable experience of facilitating target operating model reviews and implementations, including organisation design.
- Advanced consulting skills, ability to identify and articulate the underlying business needs and outcomes and navigate the path to delivery of benefits.
- Effective relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders towards the right outcomes for the business.
- Ability to translate broad, ambiguous, or complex information into a structured and easily understandable format that can be used to communicate the change narrative for all colleagues.
- Strong leadership skills, able to lead a matrix team of colleagues aligned to a project from across business functions or People Team Centres of Excellence ensuring clear accountabilities and engagement to the end goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify improvement opportunities and develop data driven strategies.
- Thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory considerations for change with a large, regulated organisation.
- Strong core project management skills with the ability to apply the appropriate tools for the context.
