Job overview:
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and interested in supporting the growth of our commercial delegated authority business? The Distribution Support Assistant is a vital part of our Relationship Management team, ensuring the seamless delivery of sales administration and governance processes. You’ll play a key role in onboarding, overseeing, and monitoring external partners. Additionally, you’ll support essential functions such as Conduct Oversight, Due Diligence, and Risk Assessment, helping to ensure that all delegated arrangements comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and conduct risk expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide daily administrative support to the Relationship Management team for all scheme and delegated authority activities.
- Assist with onboarding new business partners by coordinating documentation, gathering information, and maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare sales performance reports, pipeline updates, and management information to aid commercial decision-making.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality data across governance systems, ensuring integrity and audit readiness.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports on partner performance, compliance, and governance milestones.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of governance processes, templates, and reporting tools.
- Coordinate and complete Risk Assessments and Due Diligence checks for external partners, ensuring thorough validation and escalation where needed.
- Monitor ongoing partner performance and compliance, track key deadlines, and escalate issues to ensure timely reporting and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work to strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to improvements.
- Experience in insurance, particularly in schemes, delegated authority, underwriting, or governance is desirable
- An understanding of conduct risk, due diligence, delegated authority frameworks, and FCA oversight expectations is desirable.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
