The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our leading Energy & Construction team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers on complex, high-value, and often international matters across the energy, infrastructure, and construction sectors.
You will play a key role in supporting fee earners on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work, gaining exposure to major projects and disputes across the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of construction and engineering disputes, including arbitration, litigation, and adjudication
- Supporting transactional/project work, including drafting and reviewing documentation
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries and advice notes
- Managing documents, including disclosure exercises and bundling
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts, and internal stakeholders
- Supporting business development initiatives and knowledge management
Skills & Experience
- Prior paralegal experience, ideally within construction, projects, or commercial litigation (though strong transferable experience will be considered)
- Strong academic background (law degree or equivalent preferred)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
