The Role
We are currently hiring for a Compliance Specialist to support the Compliance Manager in the development, maintenance and oversight of compliance and governance processes across CNA Hardy. This role will act as a subject matter expert, providing pragmatic guidance on the interpretation and application of PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s and other applicable regulation, while helping the business manage regulatory risk and maintain effective compliance standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Business Partnering: Act as the lead business partner for agreed areas of the business, providing relevant, practical advice and oversight on applicable regulation and Lloyd’s rules.
- Regulatory Expertise: Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s and other applicable regulatory requirements, using strong business knowledge to support the first line.
- Compliance Plan Delivery: Deliver agreed areas of the compliance plan, reporting clearly on issues, achievements and opportunities to improve compliance and business efficiency.
- Monitoring and Reviews: Undertake thematic reviews and specific monitoring across relevant areas of the business and compliance framework, helping to strengthen the control environment.
- Framework, Policy and Training: Contribute to the development of the Compliance Framework, support compliance policies and procedures, and promote proactive compliance through effective training and communication.
What We’re Looking For:
- Compliance Experience: Previous experience working in a Compliance function, ideally with 5+ years of company market and/or Lloyd’s experience.
- Insurance Market Knowledge: Experience working within a multi-line insurance organisation, with a strong understanding of insurance business activities and objectives.
- Influencing and Collaboration: Ability to build effective relationships across the enterprise, influence at all levels and work successfully in a matrix environment.
- Commercial Mindset: A pragmatic, business-focused approach with the ability to understand how regulatory requirements apply to commercial objectives and the Compliance Framework.
- Analytical Delivery: Strong execution, decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse data, produce effective monitoring and reporting, and manage work to deadlines.
