OverviewWe are seeking to recruit an individual to join the Program Solutions division of Gallagher Re, within the Specialty/International team in a DUA Technician role. This position will be based in London working alongside other team members to support the placement of binding authorities.
The business unit handles binding authority business for MGA’s based globally, across a number of different classes of business. This role will provide technical support to the team and has arisen to ensure that we continue to have the correct level of resource and experience for our clients, as our business continues to grow.
How you'll make an impact- Responsible for the implementation and account management of new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.
- Premium and Claims bordereau management, with coordination between MGAs, clients and (re)insurers as well as internal technical teams.
- Working with London Market placing platforms: PPL, Delegated Contract and Oversight Manager (DCOM), ATLAS, Lloyd’s Wording Repository, Lloyd’s Crystal.
- Monthly reconciliations of numbers to ensure broker/insurer numbers match with clients.
- Prompt calculation and collection of profit commissions due to clients.
- Support creation of slips / endorsements, ensuring they adhere to latest Lloyd’s requirements and are acceptable to Underwriters and Client.
- Resolve queries from Xchanging, liaising with markets and clients to ensure this is done in a timely manner.
- Assisting with the tender / renewal presentations / information generation.
- Onboarding new clients - act as point of contact for gathering the information required from the prospective client. Follow internal procedures to successfully onboard the client so brokers can trade.
About You- Ideally educated to A level standard or relevant industry experience as a minimum according to the role
- Relevant MGA/DUA insurance industry experience (required)
- Experience of use and management of broking systems appropriate to own office (desirable)
- Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to build strong working relationships with brokers, clients and markets
- Good time management skills
- Technical knowledge of reinsurance policies pertinent to your business unit
- Eligible to work in the UK
