Job overview:
AXA Health UK’s Pricing team is undergoing a significant step-change in technical capabilities, with increasingly sophisticated pricing models driving a material increase in the volume and complexity of pricing changes. Reporting to the Pricing Governance Manager, the Senior Pricing Governance Analyst plays a central role in ensuring that governance processes, controls and fair pricing standards are continuously strengthened, so that AXA Health's pricing remains accurate, compliant, and fair.
Key responsibilities:
- Update key pricing governance documents, including the Fair Pricing Policy and the Pricing & Underwriting Guidelines, and manage the end-to-end review, challenge and sign-off process across stakeholder groups.
- Co-design, implement, and refine controls to manage pricing and governance risk; assess their proportionality and provide independent challenge on their effectiveness.
- Accompany the Pricing team through governance and approval processes, drive discussions with senior stakeholders and challenge decisions wherever appropriate.
- Proactively engage with new and evolving pricing methods adopted across the Pricing team to anticipate their governance and fair pricing impacts, ensure documents, controls and monitoring keep pace, and drive improvements where approaches are not working as intended.
- Lead the Fair Pricing Annual Review, synthesising governance changes, pricing developments, and monitoring insights from across the year to produce recommendations that drive the evolution of the Fair Pricing Policy and pricing approach.
- Maintain and develop the Fair Pricing Dashboard in Power BI to provide accurate and timely monitoring of price fairness across AXA Health's products.
- Collate and manage the Product Governance MI, drawing together data from across the Pricing team to support price fairness oversight.
- Monitor and report on pricing risk incidents and attestations, maintain oversight of key risks across active pricing projects and ensure pricing KRI assessments remain current and accurate.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across a broad range of internal stakeholders to ensure pricing governance is well understood, consistently applied, and appropriately challenged.
- Keep abreast of the AXA Group Standards, Sustainability Underwriting Guidelines, Underwriting Guides, and FCA regulation on pricing practices and fair value.
Work arrangements:

- Experience designing or refining risk controls in a pricing, governance, or compliance context.
- Track record of proactively driving process or governance improvements.
- Experience planning and delivering complex workstreams end-to-end, managing risks and dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide a risk and control perspective in complex technical or commercial discussions.
- Strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including PROD rules and Consumer Duty, and experience applying these in a governance context.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or equivalent data visualisation tools).
- Working knowledge of Private Medical Insurance (PMI/IPMI) products and pricing approaches is a plus.
- Solution focused, with a strong focus on delivery, and desire for continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
