Senior London Market Analyst
Division: Finance - Global Business Management
Key Relationships: Executive Management, Finance Leadership Team, Finance Global Business Management, Finance Regulatory Reporting, Finance Group & Statutory Reporting, Capital Planning, Group Actuarial, Lloyd’s, Group Auditors and other Business Users.
Job Summary: Specialist insurance company Beazley is seeking a Senior London Market Analyst within it’s Finance function to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business. Reporting to the London Market FP&A Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for bringing a syndicate entity focus to internal analysis, mirroring US and ROW focus across other areas of the Global Business Management function, along with being integral to key Lloyd’s planning deliverables. Although primarily focused on planning activity, the role also covers supporting the review of syndicate actuals P&Ls and of Lloyd’s submissions from the Finance Regulatory team. The role will support the London Market FP&A Manger to centralise Lloyd’s planning activity, create better consistency amongst reports and ultimately minimise external queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a key component of the London Market FP&A team, including supporting junior team members, with a focus on customer service. Support may also be required on occasion across the wider Global Planning & Business Partnering team
- Own relevant timetables for all team processes, ensuring data points meet the needs of the wider corporate/external timetable
- Be a key player in the production, analysis and submission of Lloyd’s Syndicate Business Forecasts for all managed syndicates with a view to continual development and improvement of the process
- Liaise with the Capital Planning team to resolve queries with regards to the syndicate business plan
- Be a key player in the production, review and submission of the quarterly Lloyd’s GAAP Planning template, including supporting the London Market FP&A Manager conclude the key messages for relevant senior stakeholders
- Production of the quarterly forecast for the 3 open years of account ultimate result by syndicate and underwriting team
- Own the delivery of certain forms within the QMA submission to Lloyd’s
- Attendance as required at quarterly peer or regulatory reviews for various submissions completed by the Finance Regulatory team
- Support and enhance the current capability and offering and with the support of Finance modernisation work towards future state
- Assist with audit deliverables and actions in relation to syndicate P&L entity queries, working with the Business Partners as required to resolve queries
- Embed oneself within wider company activities and support various Finance projects and initiatives

Education and Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience of the Lloyd’s insurance market
