About the Role:
Everest Accident & Health is a leader in the market with solutions across various Accident and Health segments around the globe.
As part of A&H actuarial global team, the A&H Pricing Actuary will be responsible for the pricing for A&H international business.
The role will based in the London office with matrix reporting to the US. The London office operates with a hybrid schedule of working two days remote each week.
Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Work with A&H international team to support the ongoing expansion of A&H product offerings in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Price A&H international new & renewal business.
Develop & maintain Excel raters; provide actuarial support for A&H international rating platform implementation.
Provide pricing input for reserving analysis.
Perform portfolio-level experience study, monitor A v E. Work on the annual budget process for international business. Work with global reporting team to assist in the preparation of the actuarial datasets and maintenance of the database.
Track A&H exposure and PML for international business.
Participate onsite client/broker meetings when necessary.
Mentor and develop junior colleagues within the larger team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Related area.
Good exam progress towards an Associate or Fellowship Qualification to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is desirable.
Experience in Accident & Health line, pricing experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Lloyd’s and international Company Market experience useful; European language skills welcomed.
Proficient in Excel, Access, VBA, SQL (with either R or Python skills desirable) and an ability to create pricing tools to support day to day underwriting workflow. SQL database experience is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications of analyses, results, and work products.
Experience of pricing platforms would be advantageous.
Results orientation with a proven track-record of delivering on-time projects and process improvements.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to operate effectively at all levels and gain the trust and confidence of colleagues and senior management.
Ability to collaborate across teams and regions through regular communication with colleagues in other locations.
Able to critically review and analyse processes, controls and data. Able to manage projects, meet deadlines and prioritise.
Ability to work under own initiative and show flexibility to meet business needs.
