Job Title: Operational Resilience Manager

This role supports the Chief Operating Officer to deliver effective operational resilience and business continuity. It will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and governance of core regulatory operational resilience and business continuity requirements in line with AXIS’ policies.
What will you do in this role?
- Maintain and continually improve the operational resilience framework for our Insurance and Reinsurance entities ensuring compliance with FCA, PRA, Lloyd’s, and CBI requirements.
- Work closely with IT, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Vendor Management, Risk, Compliance and other entity and Group level functions to ensure effective monitoring, testing, and response processes for operational resilience.
- Collaborate with Vendor Management to assess and strengthen the resilience of third-party providers critical to delivering business services.
- Partner with underwriting, claims, and policy servicing teams to identify critical business services, map dependencies, and safeguard their continuity.
- Play central role in business impact analyses, response and recovery planning and regulatory-mandated scenario testing to validate controls, and identify areas for improvement.
- Report to Executive leadership and the Board with actionable updates on resilience risks, compliance, and testing outcomes ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Continuously align processes and documentation with evolving FCA, PRA, Lloyd’s, and CBI requirements, ensuring audit readiness and demonstrating compliance. Play central role in preparing regulatory submissions and ensuring they go through appropriate review and governance.

What you will need to have:
- Experience in operational resilience.
- Demonstrable programme and change management experience, with ability to perform process mapping using industry standard tools e.g. Microsoft Visio.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with CBI and PRA/FCA regulatory regimes.
- Confidence and ability to influence and drive required outcomes with stakeholder at different levels from Executive leadership and Boards to support function delivery teams.
- Experience of working in, and familiarity with the (re)insurance industry would be beneficial.
- Good Excel and familiarity with data visualisation tools would be beneficial
- Understanding of IT systems, processes, data and other resources, underpinning critical services.
- Ability to lead and facilitate workshops.
- Operational resilience experience, including experience of running testing exercises
- Demonstrable programme and change management experience, with ability to perform process mapping using industry standard tools e.g. Microsoft Visio
