We’re looking for an experienced Finance Change professional to lead our Automation Community of Practice, shaping the future of automation across Aviva’s global markets and functions.
About the Role
As Automation Community of Practice Lead, you will:
- Define and implement Aviva’s automation strategy.
- Lead a dedicated Community of Practice, driving collaboration to identify transformation opportunities and report benefits to senior stakeholders.
- Manage a team of change professionals and data engineers across the UK and India.
- Deliver future-proofed Finance processes, from ETL builds to automated workflows and GenAI deployment.
- Collaborate with IT and Risk teams to deliver successful transformation outcomes.
This role reports to the Global Head of Finance Transformation and plays a key role in driving operational efficiencies and improving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline finance processes.
- Build and manage a global Community of Practice to share best practices.
- Identify and deliver automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate, Dataiku, and Appian.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and future-proofed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a UK and offshore team.
Skills & Experience Required
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Dataiku, Appian).
- Familiarity with ETL technologies (e.g., AWS Glue, Snowflake, Informatica).
- Basic understanding of R and Python (development skills not required).
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of system architecture and integration.
Soft Skills:
- Strong consultative mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in transformation and change management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage teams and deliver projects using Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of Finance processes and associated risk controls.

- Salary: £70,000 (national) / £80,000 (London)
