We have the opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will be part of the FP&A team, who are responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information and insight to support the business. This includes completion of the Financial Plan and subsequent quarterly reforecasting, as well as production of management information (including Board reporting) to support TMK finance and senior management in monitoring and managing the business.
The role includes responsibility for:
- Preparation of the annual financial plan and budget for the Group, liaising with senior management and stakeholders across the wider business, and delivering the consolidated & IFRS 17 business plans to the Board and to Head Office.
- To business partner with stakeholders across underwriting and operations to ensure that relevant, timely and accurate financial MI is communicated and understood.
- To challenge the financial results of the Group and ensure senior stakeholders are appraised of the Group’s performance in addition to identifying areas of improvement.
- Prepare MI, analytical review and commentary supporting the plan and forecast results.
- Preparation of the syndicate forecasts, including those included in the Lloyd’s Syndicate Business Forecast.
- Preparation of Board papers which report quarterly on the performance of the Group.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team.
- Act as first layer of review on work produced by junior members of team.
- Other tasks as required by Finance Stakeholders in ensuring the department’s objectives are met.
The successful candidate will be an ACA Accountant or equivalent with demonstrable experience in financial planning and analysis within the insurance sector. They will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as an excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
