At AXA UK Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE), we’re on a transformative journey, and we’re looking for a passionate Data Analyst to join our expanding team. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:
- Execution of data analyst activities, using Databricks to solve business problems and develop new products for the wider business.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to identify strategic value opportunities.
- Support the business through the creation of structured finance product datasets, showing actionable and meaningful business insight for strategic or material use cases.
- Engage in the creation of re-usable patterns to enable business functions to transition current business use cases onto Power BI and finance datalake.
- Support local stakeholders with communication and knowledge management to educate and ultimately empower consumers of data on the governance policies and practices.
- Collaborate with peers across technology to deliver inputs to the overarching data strategy and communicate the same through various medium.

What you’ll bring:
- Strong understanding of finance data within an insurance or financial services sector.
- Practical experience in developing data analyst deliverables using languages such as SQL and Python.
- Experience with Cloud transformation tools and technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
- Understanding and experience in creating and delivering effective business insight outputs to deliver business value.
- Demonstrate influencing and relationship building skills, both within and outside the immediate team.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise own work with a flexible approach to adapt to business changes.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines whilst maintaining reliability and accuracy.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
