Kennedys is looking for a Pursuits (Pitch) Advisor to join our Business Development (BD) team. The successful Pursuits Advisor will work on local and global responses to requests for proposals, panel pitches and other matter pitches and capability statements as required. They will work with Partners and their teams to develop strategically winning approaches to opportunities, overseeing and creating high quality, commercially compelling documents and/or presentations, coaching lawyers through the process to convert the opportunity.
The Pitch Advisor will report into our Pursuits (Pitch) Manager. They will work closely with the Pursuits Managers to support or lead on pitches, panel responses and capability statements. The Pitch Advisor will be a role model to the Executives on the team, supporting the managers to develop them as required.

The global functions include Key Relationship Management (KRM), Pursuits, BD, Marketing Technology & Data, and Marketing and Communications. We have a BD presence in APAC, UK, EMEA, the US and Latin America.
Key responsibilities
- Support or lead on producing commercial pitch documents and presentations in response to RFPs from clients
- Includes working on local or global pitches and large panel responses and providing support with project management
- Add value to each proposition identifying areas of differentiation and creating compelling responses that increases win rates
- Contribute and input into the relevant databases that support the pursuits team including a content library and opportunity trackers
Required experience
- Experience of providing support on large pitches and panel responses and in some cases leading on pitch responses, ideally within a law firm
- Creativity – ability to think of and deliver new ways to differentiate the firm during the pursuit and presentation process whilst linking back to the benefits for the client
- Experience of objectively evaluating and helping others to evaluate the merits/demerits of progressing each new business opportunity
- Commercially sound written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Business benefit and results focused
- Excellent IT skills including the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Project management and planning skills - desirable
- Understanding of the insurance industry - desirable
