Win as a Team
As a Commercial Property Claims Handler at Intact, you will be responsible for managing commercial property claims and supporting customers and brokers through the claims process. The role offers the opportunity to work on a varied caseload, build technical claims experience, and develop your career within a supportive and well-established insurance business. You will be part of a collaborative team with access to training, clear processes, and opportunities to progress.
You'll make an impact by:
- Investigating and managing commercial property claims from first notification through to settlement, progressing claims promptly and in line with agreed service standards and business objectives.
- Supporting customers and brokers throughout the claims journey, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to agreed claims processes and service propositions.
- Applying technical claims knowledge to assess liability, resolve queries, and agree settlements accurately and fairly.
- Sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues, supporting team capability and continuous improvement.
Your skills and experience:
- Previous experience handling commercial property claims, with a good understanding of policy wording, coverage, and claims processes.
- Ability to manage a varied claims caseload, progressing claims efficiently while meeting service standards and deadlines.
- Good communication skills, with experience dealing with brokers, policyholders, loss adjusters, and internal teams.
- Good attention to detail and sound judgement when assessing liability, reviewing documentation, and agreeing settlements.
