Win as a Team
This is a key technical role within Intact, providing expert accountancy support on large and complex insurance claims, with a particular focus on business interruption losses. As part of the wider claims function, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring fair and accurate settlements, protecting the business from financial exposure while delivering exceptional service to customers. This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of high value commercial property, construction, and engineering claims, combining analytical expertise with meaningful impact in a collaborative and supportive environment.
You'll make an impact by:
In this role, you will provide specialist financial expertise to support the assessment and resolution of complex insurance claims.
• Review and evaluate business interruption claims, ensuring accuracy and alignment with policy terms and financial standards.
• Analyse complex financial data to validate quantum and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for settlement.
• Liaise with customers, loss adjusters, and reinsurers to ensure transparent communication and timely resolution of claims.
• Provide technical guidance and referrals to colleagues across the business to support consistent and high quality claim outcomes.
Your skills and experience:
To be successful in this role, you will bring good financial experience, analytical ability, and a collaborative approach to complex claims handling.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA) with a solid understanding of business interruption and financial loss assessment.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate highly detailed financial data, producing clear and accurate BI calculations.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Commercially aware, pragmatic, and able to balance technical accuracy with customer focused outcomes.
