Are you a passionate and experienced Employee Relations professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a regulated financial services environment? We’re seeking 3 dedicated Employee Relations Partners to provide expert advice, guidance, and coaching to people leaders on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, absence management, and restructuring. 2 of the roles will be permanent and 1 will be a 12-month Fixed Term Contract
In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure compliance with FCA and PRA regulations while promoting high standards of governance and risk management. By proactively analysing data and engaging stakeholders, you’ll identify and mitigate employment-related risks, supporting the continuous development of ER policies and practices that reflect evolving legal and regulatory landscapes. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and coaching to People Leaders and Strategic People Partners on employee relations issues, resolving queries pragmatically and in line with business needs, engaging relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
- Ensure timely, effective outcomes aligned with legal, regulatory and organisation standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and HR colleagues on strategic ER matters such as organisational change, TUPE, restructuring and harmonisation projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal resolutions.
- Develop manager and People Team capability through coaching, learning interventions, and sharing best practices on risk areas, legal developments and ER management.
- Use HR analytics and MI tools to monitor trends, assess risks, and inform proactive case management strategies in partnership with People Business Partners.
- Review and develop policies, procedures, and practices to support ER goals, consulting with stakeholders and legal advisers on necessary changes.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to enhance employee experience and engagement related to ER practices.

What you’ll bring:
- Expert technical ER knowledge of current employment and case law and the ability to apply AXA policy, practice and procedure pragmatically to manage risk effectively.
- Demonstrable experience within the employee relations field, a background in a financially regulated industry is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to proactively manage litigation, agreeing strategies and negotiating with external parties.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, including the ability to actively listen, question and probe for information, challenge and influence thoughts and actions of managers and employees to negotiate resolution to cases.
- Ability to provide coaching and feedback to people leaders in a constructive manner, enabling them to demonstrate continuous improvement in terms of their capability and confidence with case work.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document interactions and correspondence with accuracy and sensitivity.
- Experience building trusted customer relationships and delivering service that exceeds and shapes customers’ expectations.
- CIPD, CPD or employment law qualifications are preferred.
