Network Delivery & Risk Manager – Salary circa £60,000
We are seeking an experienced Network Delivery & Risk Manager with a strong network background and a proven ability to oversee delivery, manage suppliers, and coordinate complex operational activities. This role is ideal for someone who understands network technologies well enough to challenge, influence, and guide delivery, but who is at ease with leaving the hands-on implementation to suppliers and other team members.
Naturally unsatisfied with any inefficiencies in the status quo, you will play a key role in shaping how network services are delivered and governed, working closely with internal teams and third‑party suppliers to ensure outcomes align with business priorities, risk appetite, and operational standards.
A bit about the job:
As a Network Delivery & Risk Manager, you will be accountable for the effective network risk governance oversight and coordination of network delivery activities, maximising the value of network technologies including end‑to‑end enterprise connectivity and automation across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
You will provide delivery leadership rather than technical execution, ensuring that work is well planned, risks are identified and mitigated, suppliers are performing to expectations, and stakeholders have clear visibility of progress and outcomes.
Lead the Network Risk Management Process, initially identifying, assessing, recording and updating network risk in Aviva’s compliance registers, and subsequently driving these risks mitigations through internal governance body tolerance approvals and remediating projects, effectively owning the Network Risk Program Portfolio.
As a delivery manager, lead a subset of the network projects portfolio from start to finish, ensuring clear planning of the delivery activities through structured analysis (Gantt, Sequencing, Dependencies, Risk, etc.) and collaborative communication with the various stakeholders (Management, Engineering, Finance, Security, Suppliers, Integrators), so you can deliver network projects through others on time, to budget and to the quality expected of Aviva’s network services.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Technical Network Experience (evidencing a Cisco and other vendors track record)
- Understanding of Risk Management processes
- Good and clear communication adapting to various audience (Technical, Management, Finance, Risk & Security, Suppliers, Auditors)
- Experienced working with project management tools (such as JIRA, Confluence, Ms Project)
- Office Automation to drive efficiencies (Scripting such as Power Automate, Excel Script, VBA and Data Analysis concepts)
