Job overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Test Engineer to join our Engineering team and help with the delivery of our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our Engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams. As a Lead Salesforce Test Engineer, you’ll learn about recent technology trends and be able to influence the organisation to make the right choices. Our current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform, which is based on Salesforce and involves a significant .NET estate, use of Azure services, and React frontend web applications.
Key responsibilities:
- As a lead, you'll act as a line manager and be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of test engineers, sharing best practices in manual test execution and exploratory testing in complex end-to-end environments on our Salesforce Platform
- Overseeing testing activities within a team responsible for frequent code deployments and delivery of business value to production environments
- You'll be expected to be ‘Hands on’ and uplift existing capabilities, with a focus on test automation
- You'll be responsible for leading the technical design, implementation and maintenance of test automation projects within a CI/CD environment
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
- Hands on experience with Salesforce testing, including experience in a Test Engineering Leadership or Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role
- Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Extensive experience in manual testing approaches, whilst automation is crucial to our success, your expertise in effective manual testing methods will be required
- Ability to use test automation frameworks and tools to design and implement test automation suites
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools into test strategies to increase test coverage, reduce cycle time, and improve defect detection
- Provar or Copado Robotics Testing (CRT) knowledge would be advantageous
- Experience with load testing / simulating load with ability to evidence and report on results
- Able to implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
