Job overview:
We’re seeking a proactive and organised Capability Coordinator to join our Underwriting Capability team on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this vital role, you’ll provide essential support in maintaining and updating our comprehensive Future Skills and Capability plan in collaboration with our wider people and technical capability colleagues. Your responsibilities will include coordinating training schedules and communication activities, delivering insightful reporting and data analysis to support strategic decision-making, monitoring CII membership, managing budget tracking, and assisting with key strategic projects such as the deployment and enhancement of learning tools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our underwriting teams through impactful operational support and strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and communicating capability and development activities, including training, workshops, and webinars.
- Maintain accurate records of training, project activities, and stakeholder interactions; analyse data to identify trends and support capacity planning.
- Manage the team mailbox and communications, ensuring timely responses and follow-up.
- Collate data from various sources to maintain the Future Skills and Capability Plan and generate insights for reports and executive updates.
- Monitor and support budget allocation and cost-benefit analysis for capability investments and initiatives.
- Oversee CII membership and accreditation activities, including renewals and compliance.
- Support the deployment and development of learning tools, including milestone tracking, stakeholder communication, and logistics.
- Collaborate with Data and Analytics and people teams to develop reports, dashboards, and insights that support strategic workforce planning and talent strategies.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition. There is the requirement to travel to our various office locations on a quarterly basis as part of this role.
Your skills & experience:
- Experience in administrative support, project coordination, or Learning and Development roles.
- Exposure to senior stakeholders and experience in developing client-focused documents.
- Familiarity with working within complex organisational structures.
- Budget tracking and cost-benefit analysis experience is advantageous.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a customer-focused, commercially savvy approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data/reporting tools, with strong data visualisation skills.
- Business acumen, creative problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Commercial Insurance are advantageous.
