Employee Relations Consultant
An exciting opportunity to join Aon’s People Organisation as an Employee Relations (People Matters Consultant) on a12 month fixed term basis. This role supports the Global Captives business and will be primarily focused on organisational change.
The position focuses on supporting restructuring activity and ER projects across EMEA and the Americas, working closely with People Partners and business stakeholders and will also .provide UK-wide Employee Relations experience across all solution lines.
Working within an international environment, the role offers the opportunity to partner across multiple jurisdictions while remaining closely connected to UK business priorities. The role is predominantly UK-based, with quarterly travel to the London office and occasional travel to other Aon locations as required.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, combining time in our London office with virtual/home-based working.

What the day will look like
- Delivering high quality, commercially focused ER advice to managers and People Partners/HRBPs
- Supporting organisational change activity, including consultation and restructures
- Managing a varied caseload including grievances, disciplinaries, performance, capability, absence, wellbeing and policy matters
- Partnering with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, adapting to legal and cultural differences
- Applying employment legislation, policy and procedure to ensure compliant and consistent outcomes
- Coaching and influencing stakeholders to achieve balanced, fair decisions
- Interpreting legislative changes and translating these into practical guidance
- Building strong relationships that support positive employee relations
- Contributing to ER projects, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Working in line with Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and required training

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Strong employee relations and employment law experience gained in a corporate, professional services or similar environment
- Experience supporting organisational change, including consultation and restructure activity
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, alongside strong UK employment practice knowledge
- A balanced and commercial approach to decision making
- Confidence managing sensitive and complex people matters with sound judgement
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle challenging conversations
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach, with awareness of when to seek input and support
