To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we’re looking for a dedicated Payroll Advisor on an 18-Month FTC to support the day-to-day processing and administration of UK payrolls within a fast-paced, people-focused and highly acquisitive organisation. The role will work closely with the Payroll Manager and Payroll Advisor to ensure payroll data is processed accurately and in a timely manner, supporting payroll delivery and employee experience.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience and knowledge of pension schemes and auto enrolment regulations
- In depth knowledge of current HMRC payroll legislation including all RTI processes
- Basic knowledge of employment law and the impact this can have on payroll
- Effective numerical skills with the ability to collate and interpret data
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a payroll function
- Experience of processing UK payroll data and understanding payroll legislation
- Experience of working with payroll systems and Excel
- Experience working with AI tools
Using these skills, you’ll be:
- Supporting the accurate and timely processing of UK monthly payrolls
- Inputing and maintaining payroll data including new starters, leavers, contractual changes, variable payments and statutory absence information
- Acting as a point of contact for payroll queries, whilst maintaining employee confidence and upholding complete confidentiality of all information
- Ensuring all payroll documentation is accurate and processed correctly
- Processing payroll changes and reconcile payroll data prior to review and submission
- Supporting payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as required
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll reporting
- Supporting the preparation and reconciliation of payroll payments and payroll reports for monthly reviews and submissions, in line with HMRC Regulations
- Liaising with Finance regarding payroll-related information and reporting
- Working in conjunction with the wider HR team and business leaders
- Supporting pension administration activities, including processing new starters, leavers and employee changes
- Assisting with pension assessments and contribution processing
- Maintaining payroll records in accordance with company policies, controls and statutory requirements
