Job overview:
Reporting into the Chief Security Officer, you’ll act as the face of Security across all AXA UK business units, championing the importance of security culture, governance and enabling the delivery of security strategy and services. You’ll measure the effectiveness and maturity of security across all business areas identifying areas of remediation and ensuring senior stakeholders are fully briefed on threats and risks with mitigation required for out of tolerance areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage and inform business, technology and risk stakeholders providing expert advice and thought leadership to ensure that security within each business is relevant, cost-effective and is delivered in accordance with the Group Information Security Strategy
- Maintain a view of the security risk posture for each of the operating companies, engage senior leaders to ensure risks are understood and to prioritise risk management and remediation
- Lead a team of Business Security Partners, Governance and Reporting Lead and security SMEs and analysts, directing the delivery of all Security services, including physical security and safety into each of the operating companies ensuring coordination and prioritisation of the security strategy, programme and service delivery
- Measure the effectiveness and maturity of security across each business area running periodic maturity assessments to align with local and Group requirements
- Maintain a detailed understanding of emerging technology, risks and industry trends
- Implement continuous improvement processes and activities (e.g. good practices, reporting, problem resolution) to ensure quality and relevance of information security services
- Support the security incident response processes, proving business context where required
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
- Strong commercial knowledge with the ability to understand and integrate business and security strategies
- Proven management experience including the performance management and development of teams
- Ability to act calmly, rationally and proportionately in dealing with significant and or potentially reputationally damaging security/data issues
- Thorough understanding of financial services and security issues it faces
- Substantial IT and security experience
- Ability to present information concisely and clearly identify key issues at senior management level
- Thorough planning and organisation skills
- CISSP, CISM or equivalent professional security qualification preferred
