Better Decisions Begin with You

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

Talent Solutions

Every organisation, industry, and economy around the world is facing more disruption than ever before. As companies increasingly expand beyond traditional boundaries, competition for skilled talent is intensifying across all sectors. In this fast-changing landscape, having the right people in the right roles is critical to driving business growth and managing volatility.

At Aon, our Talent Solutions practice helps organisations make smarter people decisions by combining data-driven insights, cutting-edge analytics, and expert advisory services. We partner with clients to align their workforce strategies with business goals - whether that’s attracting top talent, designing competitive reward programmes, or building resilient teams ready for future challenges.

Talent Advisory

Talent Advisory is a team of consultants working with clients across a wide range of sectors to solve important workforce challenges. We help organisations consider how they structure jobs and careers, understand the skills they need now and in the future, and manage workforce transformation as technology and AI change the way work gets done. Our work combines data, market insights and consulting expertise, giving you the opportunity to develop your business communication, research, analysis and client relationship skills over time.

What You Will Do

Analysing workforce and market data and synthesising research, benchmarking and survey sources to identify patterns and inform client recommendations. As your skills develop, you may gain exposure to regression and other advanced analytical techniques.
Supporting consulting projects by helping to prepare structured presentations, reports and proposals, reviewing documents for accuracy and coordinating project activities with colleagues. You will build your consulting skills and expertise by working across different industries and projects, learning from experienced colleagues and gradually taking on greater responsibility.
Working collaboratively with clients and colleagues to understand business challenges, share findings and contribute to practical solutions across Talent Advisory and related consulting assignments.
Using AI-enabled and digital tools responsibly to support research, analysis and delivery, refining outputs and applying relevant client and business context before they inform recommendations or decisions.

Your Development

As an Aon Graduate, you will be enrolled onto our Launch Programme when you join. Alongside your broader development, you will progressively build the technical and professional capabilities needed for the role. This development programme is built around the following core elements:

Locations

We have graduate opportunities this year in the following locations: London

We recognise the value for our Early Career colleagues of being in the office environment from the beginning of their programme. As a new graduate, you will spend the first 6 months based in the office to support your learning, development, and progression. This will enable you access to support from managers, collaborate with colleagues as well as grow your network across Aon. After completing this initial training period, you will then have the opportunity to work more flexibly, spending at least 3 to 4 days face to face in the Aon office or with clients.

Aon UK Graduate Recruitment: What to Expect

We know applying for your first graduate role can be exciting, and sometimes a little daunting. At Aon, we’re committed to making our recruitment process as transparent and supportive as possible. Here’s how our selection journey works, and what you can expect at each stage:

Application Review

We process applications on a rolling basis, moving candidates forward as they complete each stage.
Every application is carefully reviewed by our team (not by AI).
Due to the high volume of interest, this stage can take up to two weeks.
Please note: We do not review CVs or cover letters at this point.

Online Assessment

We understand you want to put your best foot forward, so you’ll have 5 calendar days to complete the online assessment.
If you need more time, just let us know as extensions are available.

Video Interview

Preparation matters, so you’ll have up to 10 days (240 hours) from receiving your invitation to record and submit your video interview.
Rest assured: Every video interview is reviewed by a real member of our recruitment team, not an AI system.
You’ll typically hear back from us within 2-3 weeks after submitting your interview, though times may vary depending on the number of applications.

Assessment Centres

Our assessment centres are held in person at the Aon office closest to the location you applied for.
Please note: Due to the large number of applications, not every candidate who completes a video interview will be invited to an assessment centre.
Assessment centres usually run after Christmas, from mid-January.
If selected, you’ll have 7-14 days’ notice to help you arrange any travel.
We run a limited number of Assessment Centre so please make every effort to attend if invited.
We reimburse reasonable travel costs (such as standard class train tickets). Flights and hotels are only covered if agreed in advance.
At the assessment centre stage, your CV and cover letter will be shared with hiring managers. This helps them get a fuller picture of you as a candidate—but these documents are not used for initial screening.

What is Aon's guidance of the use of AI during the selection process?

As an innovative global leader, we recognize and embrace the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help job seekers be more efficient in their recruitment processes. In fact, Aon is in the business of developing and implementing innovative AI tools that support both colleagues and clients, which you’ll use as an Aon colleague if you join our team.

AI can be a helpful tool for researching Aon, preparing for interviews or refining your CV, it should support, not replace, your own thinking, judgement, skills and experiences. Any application materials you submit should accurately reflect your achievements, capabilities and potential.

We ask that you refrain from using AI when completing assessments or during live or pre-recorded interview processes, which will often include an in-person interview where the technology will not be available to you. Additionally, virtual or in-person interviews should not be recorded or transcribed.

At Aon, we foster a culture of inclusiveness, fairness and transparency. We expect all candidates to embrace these principles in every interaction with us.

Can I apply for more than one programme or role?

We ask candidates to submit one Early Carers application per recruitment cycle. We encourage you to explore our opportunities carefully and apply for the programme or role that best matches your skills, interests and career goals. This helps you focus on submitting your strongest application and ensures we can assess candidates fairly and efficiently.

If, during the selection process, we believe another opportunity at Aon may be a better fit for your experience and aspirations, our recruitment team may discuss alternative options with you.

If you're unsure which programme is right for you, we recommend reviewing the programme information on our careers site or attending one of our events before applying.

Top Tip: Choose the role you're most excited about, rather than treating a second application as a back-up option. We want to understand where your genuine interests lie and how you see your future career developing.

We’re here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need accommodations, just reach out to our team - graduates@aon.co.uk

Good luck, and we look forward to seeing what you can bring to Aon!
