Introduction
The Senior Business Analyst (BA) will play a pivotal role within the Change Delivery team, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to lead and drive process improvements, system enhancements, and organisational change initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
This specific role will be focused on the AGR Future State project which will build a new digital broker workbench that will revolutionise the way brokers interact with data, clients and markets. The platform will be dynamic, integrate real-time market information, automate workflows, and enhances decision-making with advanced analytics. This project will be built by Amwins, use modern technologies, streamline complex processes, and shape the future of broking.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily engagement with project team and key stakeholders for implementation.
- Documenting functional and technical requirements provided by stakeholders.
- Managing and writing justifications for key decisions, ensuring that risks associated with the project are identified, tracked, and mitigated.
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to track project deliverables.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation, including diagrams (Visio), project plans (MS Project) and Azure DevOps.
- Supporting the Change Delivery Director, Product Owner, project team and business teams by clearly communicating project progress and any issues that arise.
- Operate according to Amwins internal policies (e.g. Enterprise Risk policy, Change Delivery Framework) and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Deliverables
- Independently gather business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document analysis, and create detailed requirements documentation (e.g., Business Requirement Document - BRD).
- Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis, identifying discrepancies between the current state and the desired state of business processes or systems.
- Develop “As-Is” and “To-Be” process maps, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Define and document functional and non-functional requirements for system changes, product development, or process improvements.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and one-to-one sessions with key stakeholders to gather insights, validate requirements, and manage expectations.
- Analyse and evaluate potential solutions (technical or process-based) against the gathered requirements and make independent recommendations to stakeholders.
- Develop detailed user stories, use cases, or scenarios that define how end-users will interact with a new system or process.
- Assist in creating a test plan and provide input into user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts to ensure that requirements are testable and met.
- Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights and prepare a report with recommendations for business decisions or process improvements.
- Produce change management documents such as impact assessments, stakeholder impact maps, and communication plans to support the business through transitions.
