We have an opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to join our Risk Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to Lead Risk Consulting’s technical agenda, supporting the function deliver ‘best in class’ risk engineering across all businesses supported by Risk Consulting.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Oversight and management of the required Technical Standards within the function to allow delivery of business requirements to the required technical proficiency and quality.
- Identification of effective and proportionate technical related business control procedures in line with internal policy and material external legislative and/or regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for risk consulting’s engagement with the wider Intact Risk functions on technical matters and engineering standards.
- Ensuring risk consulting has suitable technical representation and engagement with external bodies including RISC Authority.
- Oversight and responsibility of risk consulting’s licence framework, technical training programmes and development pathways.
- Oversight and responsibility of risk consulting’s QA process and leadership referral point.
- Acting as internal escalation/arbitration point for highly detailed risk engineering matters addressing technical refferals and raising standard and knowledge across the technical community.
- Providing specialist advice, guidance and coaching to less qualified and/or experienced colleagues.
Your skills and experience:
- Experience in Property Risk Engineering and also a good understanding and interest in Casualty Risk Engineering.
- Experience of developing and delivering Risk Management solutions.
- Experience of working directly with senior customers, and/or partners.
- Significant depth and breadth of experience across a range of lines of businesses, products or types of customers.
- Influencing and developing teams.
