Overview
At Gallagher Re, we’re looking for a Director of Market Research to lead and grow our market research capabilities. You’ll play a key role in shaping our intellectual capital, delivering insights that add value to our clients and position Gallagher Re as a thought leader in the global reinsurance market.
This is a high-priority role, fully supported by our senior leadership. You’ll have access to our world-class data and analytics platform and collaborate with experts across the business to create industry-leading research and publications.
How you'll make an impact
In this role, you’ll lead market research within our Global Strategic Advisory team. You’ll take ownership of our cornerstone Quarterly Market Insights product and flagship publications like First View. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, brokers, and analytics teams to deliver insights that help clients navigate market trends and make informed decisions.
You’ll also develop new research based on our in-house intellectual property, lead the creation of thematic and macro publications, and act as a senior spokesperson on market trends. Your work will directly support client advisory, sales campaigns, and industry events, helping to strengthen Gallagher Re’s reputation as a trusted partner and thought leader.

About You
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:
- A degree in a relevant field like Economics, Finance, or Risk Management.
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or strategic research.
- A proven ability to lead research and deliver actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance structures, capital markets, and industry frameworks.
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Confidence in engaging with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation.
