Overview
Are you ready to lead and inspire a team of dedicated claims professionals? We’re recruiting for a Motor Claims Team Leader to join Gallagher Bassett, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing daily team operations, fostering staff development, and delivering exceptional client service.
As a key figure in our organisation, you’ll leverage your expertise in the claims process to provide invaluable support and guidance to your team. You’ll also act as a role model, setting the standard for excellence and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements and Gallagher Bassett’s Best Practices.

How you'll make an impact
in this role, you’ll lead and supervise a team of claims professionals, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and meet client expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising a team to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
- Approving claims settlements within your financial authority.
- Ensuring the team is knowledgeable about Service Instructions and Policy Wordings.
- Liaising with clients to meet their requirements and attending client review meetings as needed.
- Providing training and supporting team development in line with the Gallagher Bassett Learning & Development Prospectus.
- Completing appraisals in a timely manner and fostering staff development.
- Acting as an escalation point and responding promptly to complaints.
- Managing solicitors in litigated cases to uphold litigation standards.
- Assisting the Head of Operations with general office administration to ensure smooth operations.
About You
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:
- Previous experience as a Team Leader in a regulated environment.
- Technical expertise and knowledge within your scope of responsibility.
- Proven client-facing experience, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and achieving Gallagher Bassett’s Best Practices.
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to create a positive work environment, treat others with respect, and inspire high performance.
- A proactive approach to developing others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
