Senior Project Manager (potentially evolving to Product Owner)
London / Leatherhead / Hybrid
Why join Premium Credit?
We’re at the start of a major shift—moving from traditional project delivery towards a product‑centric operating model. This is not a finished state or a tick‑box Agile transformation. We’re learning, experimenting and evolving how we deliver value—and we’re looking for a senior delivery leader who wants to shape that journey with us.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys influencing without authority, and wants to grow beyond classic project management into product‑led delivery.
The opportunity
Initially, you’ll operate as a Senior Project Manager, leading complex technology and business change in a regulated financial services environment. Over time, as our product maturity grows, you’ll increasingly take on Product Owner‑style responsibilities—owning outcomes, shaping backlogs, and helping teams and stakeholders think in products rather than projects.
You won’t just deliver change—you’ll help redefine how we deliver it.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead complex projects or multi‑workstream initiatives, balancing Agile delivery with appropriate governance
- Work closely with technology, operations and business SMEs to shape delivery approaches that actually work in practice
- Support quarterly planning, prioritisation and dependency management across teams
- Own delivery governance, RAID, financials and reporting—while adapting these for an Agile, product‑aware environment
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing mindsets and behaviours as well as plans
- Facilitate workshops that drive clarity, decision‑making and alignment
- Act as a visible change leader—bringing colleagues with you and building confidence in new ways of working
- Over time, contribute to product thinking: value articulation, backlog shaping, benefits realisation and outcome focus
What we’re looking for
This is a mindset‑driven hire, not just a CV match.
You are likely to have:
- Strong experience delivering complex change across the full project lifecycle
- Hands‑on experience working in Agile or hybrid environments
- Confidence operating in regulated industries (financial services, insurance, lending, payments or similar)
- Solid financial management experience (budgets, forecasting, benefits)
- Experience working with outsourced and offshore technology partners
- The credibility to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders
- A genuine interest in evolving towards product‑centric delivery
Formal PM qualifications (PRINCE2 / PMP) are welcome—but equally important is your ability to adapt, learn and lead through change.
