Introduction
The Project manager (PM) will play a pivotal role within the Change Delivery team, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to lead and drive process improvements, system enhancements, and organisational change initiatives. The role will be focused on two initiatives;
- Data Re-engineering Project which will create a scalable, robust, future-proofed data model for AGR, building in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and using DataBricks.
- Underwriting Restructure project which will implement a new legal and branding structure for underwriting teams in AGR and reflect this across our internal data and systems.
Aligning with the Amwins Change Delivery Framework, this role will focus on enabling business transformation within the organisation, ensuring that solutions align with business objectives, improve efficiency, and support overall growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily engagement with project team and key stakeholders for implementation.
- Creating and managing key planning artefacts.
- Managing and writing justifications for key decisions, ensuring that risks associated with the project are identified, tracked, and mitigated.
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to track project deliverables.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation, including diagrams (Visio), project plans (MS Project) and Azure DevOps.
- Supporting the Change Delivery Director, Head of Data & Analytics and business teams by clearly communicating project progress and any issues that arise.
Key Deliverables
For assigned projects:
- Create a comprehensive project plan with clear milestones, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations.
- Produce justification reports for decisions made throughout the project
- Provide a risk register and issue log with proposed mitigations and contingency plans.
- Manage project resources, ensuring these remain within the agreed scope. Provide periodic reports to stakeholders.
- Identify key stakeholders, set up meetings, and provide status reports or presentations as per the project’s needs.
- Develop and implement a change management strategy to handle scope changes, project delays, or other unforeseen events.
- Develop KPIs to track project progress, resource productivity, and performance, with periodic updates clients.
