We are currently recruiting for a Pricing Analyst to join our established and experienced Pricing & Actuarial team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
This role is a Secondment/FTC that will end in August 2025.
Your Role
As our Pricing Analyst you will support the team by performing actuarial analyses in some of the following areas: product pricing, risk modelling, corporate planning, reinsurance, establishment of adequate claims reserves and/or underwriting analysis.
You will deliver quality and timely data for actuarial analysis and reporting, documenting/disclosing relevant assumptions and observations. You will also utilise existing pricing models to test the validity and benefit of new data sources.
You will be responsible for finding solutions to strategic problems using best in class techniques, sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You will also build, maintain and work in partnership with colleagues across Chief Underwriting Office and the wider business.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need good communication skills, coupled with stakeholder management skills. You will have good numeracy, mathematical and problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
You will have good technology skills and having exposure to any of the following tools would be beneficial but not essential, (e.g. Excel, Emblem, Radar, VBA, R, Earnix etc). You will need to be able to challenge standard thinking, as well as being an independent, self-starter.
