We have a fantastic opportunity for Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Hub Manager to join our team. This is a highly visible role reporting to the Head of the Function and will collaborate on projects and regular workstreams with a number of teams and individual contributors and therefore requires significant direct interaction with our internal partners, peers and operations team. A bit about the job:
You will focus on leading service standards for the DUA Hub ensuring that delegated underwriting authority relationships are onboarded and controlled effectively throughout their lifecycle in conformity to the relevant processes and risk management derived from our International DUA Frameworks. This is a key growth area within our business and we are looking to supercharge our performance through modernised management practices, lean but proportionally risk-based processes in service excellence. The role holder will have responsibility for handling existing process, resources and other assets including systems, consultative services and will be leading other areas as the expert in service excellence .This will require that you participate in internal and external forums, provide guidance and feedback with the goal of ensuring best practice across the complete lifecycle, working with other business areas, and support underwriting effectiveness when deploying UK based and international DUA and DAs.
In addition, you will assist in all reporting requirements to ensure that senior management has available high quality, accurate management insights of all the related activities, process gaps, will have the freedom to raise, own and manage risk events and will generally be the point of reference for the underwriting community, supporting Scheme Owners in their accountabilities. The role will enjoy significant autonomy to make decisions and act, owning their subject matter in full, as well as materially input into our complete reporting suite and ultimately own the development of this segment.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Prior experience within the insurance sector within industry experience, within a Delegated Underwriting, Change or Commercial or Operational Effectiveness capacity
- Excellent team and people management skills, such as coaching and performance management and previous experience of building teams from scratch
- Prior experience in outsourcing and risk management software is essential
- The ability to build and implement processes and functions
- Previous experience of framework and process design
