Senior Hedging Manager

The technical shared service in Group Capital is looking for a specialist Hedging Senior Manager to join the team. This would suit someone with a keen curiosity about the financial markets and the use of derivatives to manage risks.
A bit about the job:
ALM & Hedging is a Technical Shared Service to the major businesses and Group Centre demonstrating the specialist skills and expertise in asset-liability management and financial risk management. The financial decisions associated with the Group’s ALM position can make the biggest difference in the short term to our customers and investors.
You’ll be responsible for structuring, reviewing and supporting Group and business unit hedging programmes, and strategic asset allocations. Tasks will include leading on with structuring transactions and performing analysis of hedges with a view to managing the ALM position of businesses across the Group. You’ll also build relationships with peers within Group Capital, across Finance and Risk. In addition, you’ll be interacting with Aviva Investors and business units on a regular basis.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Technical and practical knowledge of financial market risks and derivatives particularly options
- Experience in the structuring and execution of derivatives
- Understanding of asset and liability exposure management and hedging
- Understanding of the investment universe available to insurers
- Appreciation of insurance capital and solvency framework

- Salary circa £110,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
