Senior International Tax Manager

We have a new opportunity for a Senior International Tax Manager to lead on tax across the UK, AsiaPac and EMEA regions
A Senior International Tax Manager is needed to support the International Tax Director with UK tax compliance, governance, and controls. The role includes overseeing corporation tax compliance, managing tax advisors, assisting with Pillar 2 compliance, and handling international tax obligations. Additional duties involve preparing tax calendars, assisting with EMEA and APAC tax requirements, addressing ad hoc queries, managing corporate tax issues arised from global mobility, supporting correspondence with tax authorities, and performing administrative tasks.
The business is very fast paced, and the role will give you exposure to all levels of the business. The role will challenge all your competencies, ranging from system and technical skills to softer communication skills.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead UK tax compliance: tax provisions, data preparation, tax return reviews, QIP calculations, and annual CFC reviews.
- Manage AsiaPac and EMEA tax compliance with advisors.
- Prepare US GAAP tax provisions for UK entities.
- Conduct annual SAO reviews and implement controls.
- Business Partnering with stakeholders to meet tax deadlines.
- Manage tax advisors and stakeholders.
- Respond to ad hoc direct tax queries.
- Assist with corporate tax issues from global mobility, including PE risks.
- Oversee employment tax risks managed by CR.
- Support correspondence with tax authorities, including drafting letters and completing double tax treaty forms.
- Assist with administrative tasks like budgets and reconciliations.
- Support with tax audits.
- Manage WHT risks.
- Assist the International Tax Director with CFC, anti-hybrid requirements, transfer pricing, and Pillar 2 compliance.
You will have/will be
- Degree-educated, qualified tax accountant (CTA).
- Extensive experience in direct tax. Minimum of 6 years’ experience.
- Preferred experience in a corporate tax group.
- Knowledge of direct tax requirements in APAC and EMEA.
- Experience in international environments and time zone management.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Effective communicator with executives and non-financial individuals.
- Problem-solving initiative.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
