About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable Claims professional with proven experience in managing large and complex losses across all classes of insurance to join our existing Claims team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be the technical expert within the team and will support the Claims Manager in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Main duties:
• Managing claims from notification through to closure, including large and complex losses, across all classes
• Acting as a referral point for technical enquiries within the Claims team and wider business
• Leading Claims review meetings with clients, including producing relevant Claims reports, as required
• Supporting the Claims Manager with workloads as required
• Driving improvement to our Claims function and to customer service by continuously reviewing processes and supporting change as appropriate
• Keeping electronic files up to date, in order and all work tasked and diarised accordingly in Acturis
• Providing a high level of customer service to all of Yutree’s personal, SME, corporate and wholesale clients at all times in writing, over the phone and face to face as appropriate.
• Proactively building and managing relationships with all of Yutree’s key clients, insurers, loss adjusters and claims companies to ensure that all Claims issues can be address efficiently, and ensuring that the Claims team maintain these relationships
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the general insurance market, including attending networking/supplier events as appropriate
You will also take on additional responsibilities from time to time as required by the business.
The role is full time although we may consider applications from those wishing to work part time. You will be based at our office in Newmarket, with hybrid working available after probation and on discussion. Occasional travel to our office in Norwich may also be required.
About You
You must have:
- Experience managing large and complex claims from notification through to closure across all classes of commercial insurance within the UK market
- Experience leading Claims review meetings with clients
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Educated to GCSE level with Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
- Cert CII qualified
- A broad knowledge and deep understanding of the insurance sector
- Confidence using MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting clients
Desirable:
- Previous experience of using Acturis
- Dip CII qualified or equivalent experience and knowledge
