Job overview:
We are seeking a Broker Account Manager to drive sustainable growth by developing and maintaining strong broker relationships across the UK, Channel Islands, Gibraltar, and Hong Kong. You’ll be responsible for nurturing existing partnerships, renewing business, and acting as the point of escalation for any complaints or issues. Your focus will be on maximising opportunities within the current broker portfolio while supporting the long-term growth of our Individual International offerings. Key responsibilities:
- Renew and retain existing AGH Individual portfolios, ensuring growth within the Intermediary market.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with intermediaries, enhancing their understanding of the AGH proposition.
- Provide regular updates on service improvements to the intermediary base.
- Manage broker relationships in collaboration with the AGH Account Corporate Management team.
- Negotiate renewal terms and present relevant options to support intermediary business growth.
- Identify development opportunities for intermediaries through training and joint events.
- Contribute to new product development by incorporating intermediary and client feedback.
- Act as the point of escalation for intermediaries and brokers on issues related to Individual Clients.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong external relationships.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent listening, questioning, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Skilled in influencing and negotiating to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Energetic, motivated, and focused, with a proactive approach to work.
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, customer-driven environments.
- Knowledge of systems, processes, and protocols, demonstrated through ongoing training and the ability to clearly explain business workflows to brokers.
- Appreciation for administrative support functions and their role in delivering seamless service.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
