Are you passionate about shaping the future of healthcare? We’re looking for a proactive individual to join our AXA Health within the Claims Analytics team. You’ll play a key part in developing claims analysis that helps contain costs, spot changes in condition and utilisation, and monitor provider spend. Your insights will empower the business to make data-driven decisions to manage key risks and seize opportunities, ultimately driving better care and cost efficiency. You’ll encompass Claims Cost Management across the business, supporting Care Co-ordination claims data, and analysing claims to support our ambitious Care and Claims Transformation Programme. Key responsibilities:
- Help develop tools and reports to manage and reduce claims costs and spot new opportunities across the business.
- Support the creation of claims insights and models to identify trends, risks, market spending, and differences in treatment, to guide strategic decisions.
- Provide analysis to care co-ordination teams, highlighting areas of underperformance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Track the progress of initiatives in the Care and Claims Transformation Programme, flagging risks and recommending actions to achieve goals.
- Assist in designing and implementing new products, processes, and services, ensuring claims costs are controlled and health data is accurate.
- Offer expertise on claims for strategic projects, including forecasts and analysis of what drives claims spending.
- Ensure compliance with regulations by analysing data to identify issues affecting customer outcomes and managing programme risks.
- Build strong relationships with teams in Pricing, Actuarial, Finance, and Data, ensuring clear communication and effective claims oversight.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Your skills & experience:
- Knowledge and experience of insurance claims processes and broader business operations.
- Analytical skills to identify clinical issues, spend trends, condition changes, provider behaviour, and health data developments.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience using SQL, PowerBI and Excel to design, develop, and implement data products, models, and analytical solutions.
- Skilled at engaging effectively at all levels, including presenting to programme committees.
- Proven relationship management and networking abilities to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret data, generate insights, and understand their impact on business strategies and outcomes.
- Current knowledge of market developments, regulatory and compliance requirements, and the ability to operate effectively within ambiguity.
