Commercial Director – Aon Assessment Solutions
We are seeking an accomplished and energetic UK Commercial Director to join our high‑growth consultancy team in London. Working in close partnership with the UK Managing Director and the wider Global Commercial team, you will own and execute the commercial strategy for the UK market, providing clear leadership across Sales, Account Management and Marketing.
You will lead, inspire and develop a high‑performing sales organisation, while building and sustaining senior client relationships that ensure the business meets – and exceeds – its growth and revenue ambitions.
This is a hybrid role based in our London office.

What the day will look like
- Own team and individual revenue targets, setting a clear performance agenda
- Lead, coach and performance‑manage a friendly, energetic and ambitious sales team
- Manage a portfolio of strategic UK accounts, often with a global dimension, collaborating closely with global account leads
- Oversee CRM discipline and pipeline management, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective management of your account portfolio
- Develop and deepen relationships with both new logo and existing clients, acting as a trusted adviser at senior levels
- Proactively create opportunities to bring the Aon Assessment proposition to market (e.g. meetings, events, webinars, networks and media channels)
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape and help shape differentiated positioning and go‑to‑market messaging
- Collaborate with colleagues across Aon to deliver on our Aon United strategy and maximise cross‑firm opportunities
- Ensure accurate and timely sales pipeline data, opportunity tracking and contact management within our CRM
- Oversee the timely production and delivery of sales documentation when activating new projects
- Support the wider sales team with subject‑matter expertise when designing and presenting client solutions
- Contribute to – and role‑model – an agile, dynamic working environment that is friendly, fun, collaborative and high performing
- Foster a culture of trust, respect and inclusion across the team
- Demonstrate openness and flexibility to travel across the UK as required
- Share your expertise with the wider commercial team while actively investing in your own ongoing development

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Proven people leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong track record of networking, business development and revenue growth
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor and lead high‑performing Marketing, Sales and Account Management teams
- Highly analytical, well organised and a natural problem‑solver
- Ideally a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, or extensive experience in a senior commercial role within the talent, assessment, selection and development sector
