Global Strategy & Execution Manager
Role is required in the office min of 3 days per week (this will include Monday and Fridays as potential days for office attendance)
Role Overview
The Global Strategy and Execution Manager is responsible for driving and accelerating the development of global central initiatives across solution lines. This role involves carrying out these initiatives to deliver business outcomes. It combines long-term planning, business planning, execution planning, change management, and implementation.
Success in this role will require a clear understanding of Aon’s global strategy, strong insight into business needs, and the ability to build effective collaborator relationships
The role holder will have clear ownership of a set of strategic priorities, with accountability for delivering agreed outcomes. This includes working across the business to ensure global alignment, consistent change management and effective execution. The role will also work closely with leaders and teams across Risk Capital to support and help deliver broader cross‑solution strategies that create differentiated client value and commercial value for the firm.

This sits as part of the broader business team called Client Solutions and Execution
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and accelerate execution of assigned global central initiatives, from planning through to delivery.
- Support the development of annual strategy plans, working with leaders and functions across the business to agree priorities and objectives.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear, deliverable project plans and roadmaps.
- Develop materials to support leadership business reviews and decision‑making.
- Support our leadership in crafting and delivering against the broader remit of the team
- Drive tracking and reporting of progress and impact across prioritised central initiatives.
- Leverage data and analytics (including market assessment, pipeline, revenues and placement data) to generate insights, track KPIs and measure performance.
- Support the development and scaling of standard sales and execution methodologies, in alignment with global teams, to drive sustainable growth.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Reinsurance market dynamics, growth drivers and success factors, and share insights to advise decision‑making.
- Support the development and implementation of change management approaches to ensure initiatives are delivered optimally and sustainably.
- Build positive relationships with collaborators of all levels from across the enterprise.
- Partner with key business functions (Risk, Operations, Finance, HR) to accelerate execution of initiatives critical to delivering growth objectives.
- Work closely with the Global Strategy & Execution team to ensure coordination, alignment and prioritisation across initiatives.
Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree education or relevant professional qualifications and experience
- Proven Strategy/growth consulting and/or in-house strategy/growth experience preferably within the (Re)Insurance Sector (+5 years min) – other relevant skill backgrounds will be considered
- Strong verbal, written skills and presentation storytelling skills
- An analytical and commercial mind-set with the ability to balance strategic needs with accelerating execution to deliver timely business results
- Strategic problem solver, with a solution led approach
- Previous experience of successful delivery on business transformational and growth initiatives
- Experience with collaborating across geographies and business divisions i.e HR, Finance, Legal, IT and able to flexible manage and leverage resources in a sophisticated global matrix structure
