Job overview:
In this role, you'll lead procurement efforts, build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, and provide expert advice to your stakeholder groups. Your goal is to ensure that the delivery of goods, services, and works is effective, compliant, and offers the best value for money. You'll work closely with the Finance team, supporting senior Finance management by developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and making sure all activities adhere to regulations and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a direct impact on procurement excellence and build strong supplier partnerships while working within a collaborative and compliant environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and document procurement frameworks and processes across AXA Global Healthcare to ensure they are clearly documented, agreed upon, and consistently applied.
- Lead market analysis through tender specifications, RFPs/RFIs, and develop procurement advisory papers and reports for approval by senior Finance management, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality specifications, stakeholder satisfaction, and cost savings.
- Lead commercial and contract negotiations, drafting documentation for new engagements, renewals, and work orders, with success measured by supplier performance scores, contract compliance rates, demand optimisation, and resolution of issues within agreed timelines.
- Oversee the due diligence process, ensuring robust documentation and evidence for all new engagements, with success measured by cost savings, contract renewals in line with procurement standards such as MCPF and compliance with procurement policies GORP and GVRF.
- Retender all term contracts, adopting strict procurement procedures and company policies to ensure compliance, with measures including negotiation success rate, reduction in contractual disputes, cost reduction opportunities, and achievement of service credits.
- Perform regular monitoring of existing relationships and partnerships to ensure adherence to agreements, review financial performance, and escalate concerns to senior Finance management, with success measured by contract expiry and renewal rates and proactive issue resolution.
- Lead Third Party Risk Management initiatives, establishing documented best practices to improve the control environment for third parties in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
