Win as a Team
The role will be working on the Accounting Operations team which forms part of the wider Finance COO team. You will be responsible for a number Balance Sheet Reconciliations across UK&I which must be performed to quality standards and agreed deadlines. This role will be based in Liverpool.
You'll make an impact by:
- Being responsible for ensuring all allocated Balance Sheet reconciliations adhere to RSA Quality standards and are completed within deadlines.
- Having attention to detail and the ability to manipulate volumes of data along with the skills to stand back and see the bigger picture to identify and escalate any material financial misstatement.
- Identifying the root cause of any reconciliations issues and suggest solutions to help drive change and improvement across processes as well as ensuring all required process documentation is complete and accurate.
- Gathering, validating and compiling information, from multiple internal and/or external sources to ensure accuracy and completeness and building strong relationships with other functions both within Finance and the wider business.
- Having extensive time management skills, communication, and organisational skills, as we adhere to various monthly deadlines and have a number of stakeholders.
Your skills and experience:
- Attention to detail but also the ability to see the big picture and to understand the impact on the financial statements of any issues identified.
- An understanding of the workings of Intact Insurance Line of Business systems and business processes, alongside an understanding of Double entry book-keeping, Balance Sheet Accounting and Reconciliations,
- Ability to deliver to quality standards and deadlines.
- A financial background is necessary for this role.
