Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining a high performing A&H and Life team who can respond to changing business demands, volume changes, and international business requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with and adherence to Lloyd’s RIO Principles and effectively managing outcomes that meet Lloyd’s expectations from an operational and technical claims perspective
- Lead due diligence efforts for global MGA and Program claims programs, which could involve vetting a TPA’s ability to handle claims effectively.
- Manage broker, client requests and complaints through your team from a diverse set of external stakeholders
- Lead technical audits and work with operational resources to track and manage the volume of reviews needed to support internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with TPA and DCA contracting for MGAs and Programs for the A&H and Life team.
- Help forecast staffing needs based on business plans and build out a best-in-class claims team
- Support a global approach with your team so coverage and technical assistance is prioritized and available to internal and external business stakeholders
- Leading, mentoring and engaging a virtual and in-person team
- Actively participate in efforts to acquire and develop talent
Your skills and abilities should include:
- Understanding of A&H technical claim handling nuances internationally
- Significant A&H and Life claims handing leadership experience
- The ability to make good decisions within the confines of accepted claims turnaround practice.
- The ability to analyze claims data and use data to inform strategic decisions at both an individual claim and portfolio level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to represent the company (and its clients) effectively and professionally within the market.
