We’re looking for individuals with proven client management experience gained from handling portfolios of large mid‑market clients. As a Client Manager, you’ll be the primary point of contact for our clients — bringing the breadth of Aon’s expertise to the table, coordinating service delivery, and ensuring we meet their evolving needs and emerging risks.
Although this role is based in Liverpool, our hybrid working approach gives you the flexibility to balance time between home and the office, while still being part of a highly supportive and connected team. What the day will look like
- Provide risk solutions to businesses across a wide range of UK sectors, offering a tailored and relationship‑driven approach.
- Manage clients who typically require bespoke insurance programmes, including risk management and risk transfer services.
- Work closely with the wider team to deliver claims support and risk management advice across multiple industries.
- Lead the delivery of services to assigned clients and any subcontracted service providers, ensuring all service levels meet agreed standards.
- Identify client needs and introduce relevant Aon products and services that align with their risk profile.
- Communicate each client’s business needs and challenges effectively to internal service teams and specialist areas across Aon.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client decision‑makers.
- Grow and manage a client portfolio, achieving agreed annual revenue targets.
- Operate in line with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and comply with all Aon UK Limited policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in risk management activities, including completing all mandatory training, to protect the business and its reputation.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- ACII or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, with experience in client relationship management and the core lines of commercial risks or in Construction is essential.
- Experience leading a large portfolio of commercial clients is desirable.
- Commercial understanding of business i.e. market forces, business drivers, market dynamics, competitors and risks, etc.
- Prior experience with sales, fee setting, negotiation and influencing.
- An effective communicator and presenter.
- Client focused with a consultative approach and commitment to excellence in the provision of client service.
