Global Strategy and Execution Lead – Insurance Industry Vertical and Advisory Pillar (Mat Leave cover/Fixed Term Contract) Global Reinsurance Solutions
The Global Strategy and Execution Lead will be accountable for conceptualising, accelerating the development and execution of strategic global Insurance Industry Vertical and Advisory Pillar initiatives working across solution lines to enable business outcomes.
Demonstrating an understanding of Aon’s global strategy, on the ground business needs, developing positive relationships, and balancing long-term planning with accelerated execution will be key to success. The Global Strategy and Execution Lead will lead a team and work in collaboration with the Global Insurance Industry Vertical Leader and Regional teams to continue to evolve our Insurance Industry Vertical Strategy and growth in relationships, relevance and revenues. In addition, The Global Strategy and Execution Lead will collaborate with the Global Advisory Pillar Lead to enable Advisory solutions that drive differentiated value for clients and commercial value for the firm.

Key responsibilities:
- Development of annual Strategy Plans, collaborating with leaders and functions across the business to drive delivery of objectives.
- Structure and develop material for leadership business reviews and to support overall business objectives, including but not limited to achieving revenue growth, margin, market share, quality, colleague engagement and client experience targets.
- Develop and scale standard methodologies to drive outstanding, measurable business impact.
- Understand and share market dynamics, growth drivers and success factors, demonstrating data to drive insights and to advise decision making.
- Evaluate and size short, medium, and long-term opportunities into a defined schedule of strategic priorities aligned to achieving business goals in area of focus and across the Solution Lines more broadly, leading teams in developing clear project plans which enable the successful end to end delivery of several strategic projects.
- Work in an Aon United way, building a cohesive and effective partnership with business leaders and business functions ((risk, operations, finance, HR etc) to influence decision making and to accelerate execution on initiatives critical to delivering growth objectives
- Work with the Global S&E Team to ensure coordination of initiatives and priorities across Risk Capital
Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree education or relevant professional qualifications and experience
- Proven Strategy/growth consulting and/or in-house strategy/growth experience preferably within the (Re)Insurance Sector (+5 years min)
- Ability to actively and credibly contribute to the overall strategic business agenda influencing senior leaders
- Strong verbal, written skills and presentation storytelling skills
- An analytical and commercial mind-set with the ability to balance strategic needs with accelerating execution to deliver timely business results
- Strategic problem solver, with a solution led approach
- Previous experience of successful delivery on business transformational and growth initiatives
- Experience with collaborating across geographies and business divisions i.e. HR, Finance, Legal, IT and able to flexible manage and leverage resources in a sophisticated global matrix structure
- Experience managing high performing teams
