What the day will look like
This role sits within our UK Risk & Compliance function and supports our Commercial Risk business and you’ll play a key role in helping the business understand, embed and meet FCA expectations.
Your day may include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for risk and compliance queries across various business units within Commercial Risk, offering clear, practical oversight, advice and challenge.
- Helping build awareness and understanding of regulatory developments, including the impact of Consumer Duty on ASME operations.
- Collaborating with colleagues across Risk & Compliance to ensure Commercial Risk has access to the right second‑line expertise.
- Attending Solution Unit management committees and regular business review sessions, providing insight, advice and second‑line challenge where needed.
- Facilitating periodic risk assessments in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Supporting product oversight activities as a second‑line challenger using tools such as OneView.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Proven experience working in an FCA‑regulated commercial insurance industry, ideally within retail broking environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and the ability to translate these into clear, practical business guidance.
- Experience supporting product oversight, distribution, digital engagement or Consumer Duty implementation.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing effectively and navigating complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics for a wide range of audiences.
