Speciality is a rapidly expanding area within Delegated Authority Partnerships as AXA look to diversify our risk portfolio and expand our exposure beyond weather-related products. Our current Specialty delegated authorities encompass a wide range of unique and complex risks including latent defects, personal accident, surety bonds, and other niche areas. Any products not aligning with our core property, casualty, or motor revenue heads falls into this specialised domain.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for you as a motivated individual to develop expertise in a dynamic and evolving field. You’ll have the chance to build underwriting capabilities within a specialised area of insurance, all while benefiting from the stability and resources of a leading, large-scale composite insurer.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive profitability and meet top-line targets through effective portfolio management to achieve financial goals.

- Build trusted partnerships internally and externally by fostering strong relationships to support the DAP strategy.

Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
Your skills & experience:
- Experience in delivering outstanding customer service and working within general insurance or a business/commercial environment.
- Good negotiation skills, and the ability to build effective partnerships, supported by a clear commitment to understanding the commercial insurance market and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, confidence in decision-making, and the ability to interpret data with good analytical and numerical reasoning capabilities.
- Proactive, solution-focused, and capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with a strong drive for continuous improvement.
- Show commitment to professional development by progressing towards FIT/CII qualifications, demonstrating a dedication to learning and growth.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
